China-south Africa trade relations continue to grow in 2024

South Africa leverages its geographical advantage in renewable energy to power energy intensive industries, making it one of the most promising industries in South Africa. Scatec recently launched one of the world‘s largest solar cell projects in the North Cape province, covering an area of 879 hectares with 540 megawatts of solar power generation capacity and a groundbreaking 225 megawatt solar cell system. As an example of South Africa‘s commitment to sustainable energy development, Scatec operates over 448 megawatts of solar power plants across South Africa, including one of the world‘s largest solar cells located in the North Cape province.
